The Maths Club takes a dynamic approach to learning mathematics by connecting concepts to real-world applications. Students will experience math in a way that is both interactive and enjoyable, discovering how the principles they learn can be used in everyday life.
Children will explore Vedic and Japanese mathematics techniques, which are ancient methods designed to speed up mental calculations and improve arithmetic accuracy. These methods can help students solve complex problems quickly and efficiently, boosting their confidence in their mathematical abilities.
We will also explore how mathematics is used in various fields, such as architecture, design, engineering, and even finance. The club will involve hands-on activities, puzzles, and problem-solving exercises that challenge students to think critically and apply math to real-life situations. Whether it’s measuring ingredients for a recipe or planning a trip with a budget, students will see the practical side of math that goes beyond the classroom.
In the Computing Club, children will develop a deeper understanding of how math and computing intersect. The focus will be on math-based programming, where students will use Python to automate mathematical problems that they typically encounter in their traditional math lessons.
